ABC OVERVIEW

Aspiring the Best Competition (ABC) is the solution identified to solving the problem of mass failure recorded annually in Senior School Certificate Examinations (SSCE) and Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Through findings, in-exposure to external examinations has been a major contributing factor to mass failure. Consequently, poverty has also dashed the hope of a lot of young people who have failed their first attempt from re-sitting for these examinations, holding a Senior School Certificate, and/or furthering their education to tertiary level.

Hence, this competition (ABC) was established to familiarize this set of young people (those that have failed the examinations and those preparing for them) with the atmosphere these examinations are conducted and as well as provides them with the avenue of measuring their academic readiness to facing and passing them.

Applicants who score 75% in the competition get their SSCE/UTME (WAEC, NECO, GCE/UTME) sponsored by ISERH and are pronounced ABC SCHOLARS. They then become ISERH AMBASSADORS upon showing interest and passing our oral interviews.

Applicants are tested in four (4) subjects: English Language, Mathematics and any other two (2) subjects relevant to their choice of course. Each subject question paper contains 50 multiple-choiced questions.

All participants registering for this competition must have a COACH (i.e. a Teacher) who supports him/her academically, socially and morally  towards winning this competition. This COACH becomes a RECIPIENT of ISERH EXCELLENT TEACHER AWARD (ETA) the moment the participant scores 75% in the competition.

ELIGIBILITY:  This Competition is opened to all intending Students of High Schools (SS1 – SS3) and High/Secondary School Leavers, Private-owned or Government Public Schools, who are yet to make their papers or willing to sit for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
