ELDER BODE ALUKO DONATES 51 MOTIVATIONAL BOOKS TO ISERH AHEAD OF HER ANNUAL RECOGNITION AWARDS
(L-R) ABC Project Director, ISERH Program Director, and Eld. Bode Aluko
Elder Bode Aluko got to know about Initiative for Sound Education, Relationship & Health (ISERH) in 2016 during her maiden edition of ISERH Excellent Teacher Awardas he was among the recipients of the award, consequent upon the brilliant performance of the student he mentored - ISERH Ambassador Oluyemi Tosin who sat and won 2015 Aspiring the Best Competition (ABC) and emerged the Highest Scorer in English Language having scored 24/25 marks. Having spent over 3 decades as a teacher, without being given a medal as a form of recognition from either government or groups, Eld. Bode Aluko came for the event with the thought that the brains behind the initiative were elder statesmen, but was astonished to see that it is a product of young minds (youth). Since that day, he has committed himself to supporting the initiative's programs.
Elder Bode Aluko sponsored the 2016 WAEC of one of the beneficiaries of the program. He sponsored ISERH Excellent Teacher Award for the 2016 edition that was held in January 2017, despite the fact that neither him nor any of his school's teachers won the award that year.
Ahead of the 2017 ISERH Annual Recognition Awards that is slated to hold in January 2018, Eld. Bode Aluko has donated 51 Motivational Books to the organization and this, according to him, does not affect his supports for the 2017 ISERH Excellent Teacher Award.
During ISERH Annual Recognition Awards, we give out motivational books and exercise books to the candidates of Aspiring the Best Competition (ABC) who couldn't meet our cut-off mark of 75% but scored 56% or above. Over the past 3 years, we have given over 450 students such gifts which has handsomely contributed positively to their academics. Those who score 75% get their SSCE/UTME sponsored by ISERH and we now have over 83 beneficiaries who are proudly called ISERH Ambassadors, and among them are over 43 who are now in Higher Institutions of Learning (Universities/Polytechnics) across the country.
Elder Bode Aluko is the proprietor of St. Johns Academy, Bonnke Quarters, Ilesa, Osun State. He worked with Osun State Ministry of Education as a teacher before he became a victim of Oloye Bisi Akande, former Exc. Governor of Osun State mass sacks of over 4,000 teachers in the state. His retrenchment birthed St. Johns Academyand the school has won several competitions and awards. MTN Foundation provided supports for the school in the year 2016 when one of its students won the foundation's quiz.
The entire Board, Team and Ambassadors of the Initiative for Sound Education, Relationship & Health (ISERH) appreciate you and seek for you, more blessings from thy Lord. We pray to the Supreme, to bless us with many more of you sir.
On the same note, we are still open to receiving supports and donations. Nothing is ever small - pens, pencils, books, school bags, SSCE/UTME sponsorship, and any other forms of supports are welcome.
