ISERH Trained VSO International Volunteers On Setting-up Farmers Cooperative Society
Today 25th October, 2016 happened to be a memorable day to the International Volunteers of the Voluntary Service Oversea (VSO) Nigeria who came all the way from United Kingdom and African Countries to spend few months in Igangan, Osun State, Nigeria, for the exposure they had during the training on Setting Up Farmers’ Cooperative Society anchored by 2-man Team of ISERH.
They were highly blessed to have being trained by the Executive Director of the Initiative for Sound Education, Relationship & Health (ISERH) – Mr. Abdulahi Abayomi Abdulraheem who led the 2-man team to the Igangan Community. The trainees couldn’t hide their joy at the level at which they were exposed to the stages every Cooperative Society passes through and the in-depth knowledge passed to them on the Pre-Start-Up Stage of the Cooperative Society Formulation/Set up.
The International Volunteers, in commending the team efforts, asserted that there was no Trainer that had taken them so well like ISERH 2-man Team did since they arrived the country. They expressed their astonishment on the qualifications and achievements of the Trainer (Mr. Abdulahi Abayomi Abdulraheem) and the successes recorded by his organization (ISERH). They openly admitted that they had been thoroughly challenged and motivated.
Consequently, the VSO Nigeria Project Officer – Mr. Clement Obayi sought the mentoring supports of the Initiative for Sound Education, Relationship & Health (ISERH) for his International Volunteers for the period of their stay. He specifically asked the ISERH Administrative Officer, Mr. Abdulkabir Sanni on his willingness to also help mentor some Volunteers while the duo, Mr. Abdulahi Abayomi Abdulraheem (ISERH ED) and Mr. Abdulkabir Sanni (ISERH AO), pledged their supports.
It is worthy of appreciating the YALI West Africa RLC Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Olalekan Sipasi for connecting the two organizations together.
As we wish the Volunteer a hitch-free stay in Osun State, we as well charge them to subject the knowledge acquired during their volunteering into use on getting back to their various countries. We appreciate the Volunteers and VSO Nigeria Project Officer (Mr. Clement Obayi) for making the training a memorable one.
Isn’t it time for us to go back to FARM???
