ISERH AMBASSADOR BERNARD WON OUTSTANDING STUDENT LEADER’s AWARD

Bernard Abiodun Uti is an Ambassador of the Initiative for Sound Education, Relationship & Health (ISERH) who benefited ISERH’s scholarship to write Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for free in 2014, and was enrolled for our monthly ISERH ambassadors’ leadership development forum. He afterward got admitted into the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, The Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti, Nigeria.

As a National Diploma student in the Mathematics and Statistics Department at The Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti, Bernard initiated spelling competition for his department. He nursed the ambition of making it an interdepartmental competition within the institution.

His dream came to reality when he was admitted for Higher National Diploma in the same department early this year. The institution’s Press Club in conjunction with Campus Reporter organized the first spelling competition for all tertiary institutions in Ekiti State and ISERH Amb. Bernard was made the Chairman of the committee for The Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti. ISERH Amb. Bernard was, at the same time, elected President of his department (Mathematics and Statistics Department).

The Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti’s spelling competition was held on Friday, 22nd of Sept., 2017 with the School’s Rector, Registrar, Academic and Non-academic staff, and students in attendance. Agbafor Mabel, an ND1 student of the Department of Food Technology, won the competition.

ISERH Amb. Bernard was honoured with Merit Award as an Outstanding Student Leader by the Association of Statistics Students of Nigeria (ASSON), The Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti Chapter, for his performance, dedication to duties and great exemplary leadership actions he exhibits as the department’s president. He is also the Vice President for the National Association of Delta State Students (NADDESTU), The Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti chapter.

From all of us at the Initiative for Sound Education, Relationship & Health (ISERH), we congratulate you on this huge achievement and we challenge you to give the world the best you are made of. You have shown to the world that ISERH’s vision is fast materializing: building ‘Peaceful, Informed and Healthy Nation of Ethical Leaders’.
