ASPIRING THE BEST COMPETITION’S (ABC) REGISTRATION IS NOW STRICTLY ONLINE

Aspiring the Best Competition’s (ABC) application is now online through ABC Exam Portal. ABC is a UTME-like competition that qualifies distinguished High School Students across Osun State for ISERH scholarship to write Senior School Certificate Examinations (SSCE) and/or Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for FREE, having participated and made an aggregate score of 75% or above in the competition. This competition is a gateway for students to become ISERH Ambassadors and/or ABC Scholars and also for teachers to winISERH Excellent Teacher Award (ETA). This competition is opened to both private and public schools’ students who are in Senior School Classes 1 to 3 and High School Leavers who are yet to make their O’Level results or gain admission into Higher Institutions.

Over the past 3 years of establishing this competition, about 800 Students have participated in it, where 79 participants who scored 75% or above have won this scholarship and got their WAEC, NECO, GCE and UTME sponsored; 71 of them are ISERH Ambassadors while 8 areABC Scholars and about 40 of them are Universities while 2 are presently on university scholarship; over 450 participants who scored between 50% and 74% have benefited the competition’s consolation prizes where they were given reading and writing materials to enhance their studies; 17 teachers have been honoured, motivated and awarded ISERH Excellent Teacher Award (ETA) for successfully mentored winners for the competition; while a teacher had been decorated with ISERH Teacher of the year Award (2016) for mentoringhighest number of winners for the competition in the year 2016.

This competition is designed to familiarize, expose and acquaint High School Students to the conduct of external examinations like WAEC, NECO, GCE and UTME. This program also serves as a measure for the academic readiness of a child to face and sit for SSCE and UTME, as the results of this competition is a reflection of a student’s preparedness to writing WAEC, NECO, GCE and UTME. It also serves as a means of encouraging students to getting fully prepared and ready to read and pass, and as well serves as an exposure to a healthy and rewarding competition. It gives every teacher a challenge of mentoring and giving their best to their students, due to the fact that: for a teacher to winISERH Excellent Teacher Award (ETA), such a teacher must mentor a Winner for the competition, and for a teacher to become and winISERH Teacher of the year Award, he/she must mentor highest number of ABC Winners for a particular year competition. This serves as a motivation and an acknowledgement of teachers’ dedications to work, while it brings and promotes mutual relationships between both teachers and students through this a win-win competition.

Every participant/candidate of this competition is expected to write Mathematics, English Language and any other 2 Subjects of either:Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Financial Account, Economics, Government, Commerce, or Literature-in-English, while each subject consists of 50 multiple choice questions (Objective Questions) and every candidate is expected to have an Aggregate Score of 75% to qualify as a winner and a beneficiary of FREE WAEC, NECO, GCE and/or UTME while his/her Mentor/Teacher simultaneously wins ISERH Excellent Teacher Award (ETA). The candidates with Highest Score in each of the subjects are awarded Best Students in the subjects while the candidate with Best Score in the competition, is awarded Overall Highest Scorer with lots of gifts.

For the registration of this year’s competition that commences in the month of April, every intending candidate is expected to apply/registeronline via ABC Exam Portal http://abcexam.iserh.org/ after obtaining an ABC Voucher Card from any of our Vendors across Osun State. This competition is presently only available to Students in Osun State.

Each Vendor is entitled to a commission for being our Vendor and there is no a limit to the number of Vendors a town can have.
